Jersey and Diamond, our beautiful Quarter Horse ladies, have been retired. Both of them have gone up to Northern California to live with former retiree Strawberry. They will live out their days free and happy in pasture and will be babied by one of our good friends and her children. We are so happy to have found a wonderful place for them to retire.
Sadly for us, both of these girls are young and it is a loss to our program to have to retire them. Jersey has been retired due to a stifle injury that has just not healed. She has been laid up for over a year and is not improving. We decided it is in her best interest to retire her.
Diamond has been retired due to a deteriorating condition. Her front leg confirmation has never been great, and it's starting to take a toll. She has been diagnosed with ring bone and there is no reversing of the damage and lameness from that. She is sound for pasture, but is no longer sound for riding.
We wish both of our beautiful girls all the best and know they will love their new life.
Please enjoy the slideshow of the two girls turned out in pasture together in their new home!
